An almost unbroken Hi plate runs from the head down the body, with a white cut coming in from one side behind the dorsal and white along the tail section. The red shows a clear scale-by-scale texture, and it is thick and even. The white at the nose, sides and tail is clean, and the pectorals are white. A near ippon-hi Kohaku, so with this much red the quality of the Hi is the selling point.
