Each spring, our Gosanke members are invited to walk the Ikeage with Wes — five breeder visits across four days, private dinners with farm owners who don't take outside guests, and a hand-sort session where you pick your own koi from a mud pond, not a catalog.

What you're wondering.
Membership runs for an initial 12-month term — this is what lets us guarantee your annual hand-selected koi from Japan. After your first year, you can cancel anytime from your account or by messaging our team.
Your koi selection happens at one of the two Japan Ikeage windows each year — October or spring. If timing doesn't work for one window, we'll fit your selection into the next one. We never want a member to lose out on the fish their dues earned.
Yes. Upgrade anytime and we'll prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal so you don't lose benefits already earned.
Your monthly dues build toward a hand-selected koi at the end of your membership year — that's the core of the club. The allowance is capped at your tier's value ($300 Hikari, $600 Tancho, $1,000 Utsurimono, $2,500 Gosanke) and resets each year, so it can't be prorated or banked beyond a single annual cycle. If you have your eye on a koi above your tier's value, you can simply pay the difference at selection time.
Live koi shipping is calculated separately based on your location and box size. Members get our preferred shipping rates on every order.
No. We hand-select your annual koi at the Ikeage on your behalf, with video and photos sent for approval. The Japan trip in the Gosanke tier is an invitation if you want to come pick it in person.
