Marushin nisai Doitsu Showa, 45cm. A red plate covers the head with sumi on the face, then the body opens up to a long stretch of white. A small red mark sits on one shoulder, and sumi runs as a band near the dorsal toward the tail section. Some of the back sumi is still grey, typical of a young Showa where kage-zumi may darken with time. The white ground is broad and bright. A Kindai-leaning Showa with plenty of white, for a clean, open look in the pond.
