Why is Dainichi Koi Foods different than all others? Lets start ath the point where the koi food is manufactured. When it is made to float it must be super heated. That heat causes many of the vitamins and minerals to leave or lose potency. Dainichi's Koi Foods follow that process with a coating on the pellet that replaces the lost good stuff that the heating process entails.

Dainichi All Season

Dainichi All Season DOES contain Wheat Germ. This is a great staple Diet. The Protein levels are 38% whichi will provide good growth to the koi along with great digestion from the wheat germ. The Dainichi All Season koi food is coated with Keeton Lymnozyme. This is an added benifit to the coating. Although the lymnozyme is not refrigerated it does add to the health benifits that the kois food has to offer.

 

Dainichi Growth Plus

Dainichi Growth has the highest amount of protein levels of any of their koi food at 42%. This diet will not enhance the beni (red) of the koi. This is a great food to feed to nishikigoi that do not have any beni color. We feed this diet to all of our koi and remains a staple to our Shiro Utsuri. This koi food should be fed when the pond temps reach 65 degrees or higher.

 

Dainchi Premium

Daincihi Premium has the most balence of all of the koi foods. The food is rich in spirulina so you should not feed it as an ongoing staple to kois that do not have any red or orange color. This boasts 40% protein. Feed this diet when the temps reach 62 degrees of higher.

 

Dainchi Color

Dainichi Color is made mainly for Gosanke koi. This will brighten up the beni(red) color of the koi within days. Similar to the Premium though it packs much more high quality spirulina than the premium. Feed this koi food in the summer months to gosanke koi and only for a few weeks.
