This week we are featuring an Aka Matsuba from Otsuka Koi Farm!

This is a very popular variety. This Aka Matsuba comes from one of the best breeders in Japan for this variety. Otsuka Koi farm regularly has 30+ in Aka Matsuba at his koi farm.

The red of this koi is what really stands out. The pine cone effect on the body will improve from here and develope a very nice fukurin. Also, notice the Small gin rin Scales on this koi. That will dissapear. This is know to be a good sign of size and growth ability for this koi. The Crimson red is very appealing and the clear crisp head just adds to the amazing beauty of this koi.
